Any tips on cutting glass mosaics ,I.e tools used drilling and cutting .

Hi there
As with anything there is trial and error, and i and my father before me have spent many years finding the right tools for our work that said materials change and there are also many different materials out there.
Im not sure why but the chinese mosaic seems softer than the italian mosaic , probably due to cheap manufacturing processes or sub standard materials used to reduce price .
As for tools quality continuous rimed diamond discs made for marble work well and don't skimp on continuous rimed diamond core bits marcrist are good , also needed are a good set of (nippers) hand cutters with tungston tip jaws .
Bar that the rest is up to you , i have spent a small fortune on diamond discs over the years and still find that some of the cheap ones I've bought abroad work better on some glass than others that cost a lot more .
So continuous rimmed tools and don't bother with plated stuff your wasting your hard earned money .
Best of luck
Tom
