I paint a coating of Mapegum to either side of all internal corners and bed in the Mapeband, that I have previously cut to length. I always use either the flat side of my serator or a grouting float to make sure this is firmly adhered to the coating, flat and air bubble free.

Always make sure the Mapei logo is facing out when installing the Mapeband.....

Not great!!
Out of level gully with gap underneath.
Floor after I'd made some initial remedial making good orks to the tray with Mapei Keraquick. I also filled the gap under the gully and filled the gap at the bottom of the plasterboard.
