This shop is across the road from the other photo. It was a former Italian Ice Cream parlour. The shop was closed when I took the photo, but it has the most incredible floor made up of a insitu terazzo and mosaic. I will get a snap of the signage of the same shop which, incredibly, I only noticed yesterday!!
This is one I did in the early 1930's...........NOT. It's the entrance floor of a local gift shop and I LOVE it!!
B&B in Stromness. The pattern and setting out doesn't work as I was tied to following the bond through off a small porch the customer had done himself years ago....Customer chose where she wanted the black dots. These were a full bodied porcelain by Keope and were without doubt the hardest tile I've ever come across!!
