Just laid these,600ish x 400ish non slip tiles, its says they will need cleaning a far bit.shop said they dont need sealing.
My question, could you not just seal them( they are porca) so the customer does not have to clean them every few months or is there a reason not too?
Cheers
Craig

Craig,

A topical sealer will change the slip resistance of the porc 'anti slip' tile. i.e. it will make them slippy!
An impregnating sealer will not penetrate the porc tile. So sealing them is not an option.

I can't tell from the pic, but I presume this tile is quite rough to the touch? The only way to clean them properly is with a rotary brush or by getting on your hands and knees and scrub them with a brush.

These non slip tiles are only really used in commercial areas and are therefore cleaned by cleaning companies with specialised cleaning equipment.

Were they a bugger to grout? (i.e. tiles holding onto the grout).

Enjoy your hols.

How will the sealer make them slippy, they are like sandpaper to the touch?
