My daughter made a bird house over 10 years ago and I fixed it to the fence so we could see it out of the patio doors.
Today (got my pension so had time to sit in the sun) a bird started to build a nest in it!
The wife came back from shopping saw me sunning myself and nearly fainted when I showed her my blue **** on the camera phone.:lol:

I built a bird feeding table in my front garden,,,my wife's response was " so, since when have ostriches developed the power of flight?" I'll take and post a pic in the morning, whilst I'm watching to see if my grass is growing:lol:

i have been trying to find a couple of sites for my Two bumble bee hives in my garden, but i need to read -up a bit about them,......it was part of my christmas pres from one of my girls.......

you'll really really struggle there Tom.....bumble bees are solitary and don't live in hives

We get them nearly every year in ours, I was gonna change box for one with built in wireless webcam to keep tabs on them.

Sitting here again in the sun and they're back this year - in and out feeding their little ones.
They've been here for a couple of months now and they'll be leaving soon by the noise.
Facinating stuff!

That was them! Just seen the 1 chick fly away and it's now all quiet on the northern front. Can now get back to living and stop sitting in the garden watching. Next year to resume thread. 2013 cycle complete.
