Discuss Sourcing Victorian Path Tiles- Please Help! in the Specialist Tile -Stone, Porcelain, Glass area at TilersForums.com.

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help with sourcing some replacement tiles for a Victorian path.... or even what search terms I should be using as I can’t seem to find the right ones anywhere!

They are ca. 151mm x 151mm x 10mm in red and buff colour. Picture attached.

Any help or advice would be so appreciated.

Thanks
Verity

Hi,

thank you very much for your response, though the ones on the link are twice the depth.... my ones are only 10mm thick and there doesn’t seem to be any on the net that are the same.... I wonder if o am looking under the wrong terminology?
Have you tried original style.

Hi Dave,
Yes, Original Style do seem to do some good replicas and may just have to go down that route but not sure how they will blend in against try e originals... seems such a shame to replace the lot :( thanks so much for your advice :)

also try ebay.

You will be extremely lucky if you get anything to blend very well as your path have been exposed to elements for its lifetime and this obviously alters the appearance .
Hi,
Yes, I agree, hence was looking for some reclaimed replacement... but I can’t find any to match (none of the same thickness at any rate :()

Depending on how particular you are , a reclaim may not match that well , and it may be a lot easier to start again , and as has been said earlier I looks like your path needs relaying anyway .

Yes, I think replacement of all with replicas may be the way to go now (original style seem to do red and buff tiles that are a close match), especially as you say, the whole lot needs to be relayed at any rate....just wanted to have preserved a piece of history if at all possible but not looking likely. Thank you :)
