    New Bathroom preparation

Hi all We finally got it together to do a renovation build and the bathrooms are boarded out with water-resistant boards - and the builder has skimmed them, which I was not expecting. But funds are running out and I intend to finish the bathrooms myself. How best to prepare the shower area for a...

Level up an entire ground floor

Son wants wood-effect tiles all the way from the front door to the back. Concrete on all floors - but levels vary falling away to the back. He's asked to insulate the floors with insulation board throughout - probably 10mm. Given that we have enough height for the thickness - how best to level...

Screen for wet room shower area

We have created a small wet room with a pebble-floor on a marmox tray then extending across the rest of the floor. There's no urgent need, but we think that it might be good to install a movable screen to limit the spread of water from the shower to mainly the tray area. Can we install a folding...

    Not Tiling But Ideas Needed!

Here is a non-standard problem. What would you do with a 2" gap between the SIDE of a BIG stone fireplace, and where a new stud partition wall had to go. Too small a gap to use a board. To0 big a gap for any filling. Too irregular (because of stones, to just insert a fillet of wood (unless...

Need advice please - tiling "poor" ground floor concrete floor

Afraid not - that would be too easy - it's going to be me - the money for builders has run out. I've tiled a few "good" areas and new areas, with no real trouble.
