Tiling Rates Per Square Meter - How much does tiling cost?

Never work by day rate or meter age, customer gets a quote for the entire job, I work out the time/materials and give fixed price, but base it on £200/day in calcs.

How many trowels do you need.

I like the speedskim for straightening things up quickly and use it in conjunction with the old favorite Marshaltown and newer Plasiflex and Superflex, all have their uses, but timing is crucial.

    Jakoboard thicknesses

Well interestingly or not, judging by the number of responses I got to the initial post, went to a trade night and spoke to the local rep who supplies the stuff and couldn't get a direct answer and was referred to their literature to make my own decision! An experienced tiler who works closely...

    Jakoboard thicknesses

Thanks for the link, main reason is it's what my local merchant stocks, they have a trade night coming up in a few weeks so I will have a chat to the CTD rep and pick his brains. The reason I said wetroom style is that it will be a traditional bathroom, this is a failsafe to help prevent damage...

Advice please as I am starting a house refurb and working out the floor level for joists, as the bathroom is upstairs I am going to lay the floor in the style of a wetroom, sloping slightly to one corner. What is the best makeup of the floor from the joists up, flooring grade chipbord overlaid...

What do you prefer at wall / ceiling abutment joint ?

Depending on ceiling finish, last one was plastic planking as small room with poor shape for ventilation so Silicon, but assuming plastered/painted, keep an even cut line and grout the gap.

What do you prefer at wall / ceiling abutment joint ?

Interesting, I have never found a caulk that doesn't shrink badly, looking terrible months later, I avoid it like the plague now, not heard of that make though, might be worth another try, where do you get it?

    Perfect level master

That's what I do and with the RLS I have found as well as pulling the tile.off slightly, it opens the joint, even though the wedge should be pulling it down to the fixed tiles, I find it strange?

    Perfect level master

Not had chipping with RLS but they do sometimes snap off part way through the joint instead of at the base and can be difficult to break the remaining stub off, if your not extremely careful you can chip a tile in the process, don't ask how I know! On the whole, very happy with the system and I...

    Perfect level master

They look exactly like the Raymondi system I bought for a job earlier this year, did you sell them too? Sure it was recommended by someone on here.

This will be a long tiling job !!!

That is stunning work, never even seen tiles like that before, customers in a very different market to mine, the accuracy with measurements and angles blows me away, without even thinking about the difficulties if cutting without inducing stress, etc All I can say is Wow.
