Help: Alcove tub installed in front of drywall

Hello, A contractor I had hired (no longer in business), installed purple drywall in my bathroom, then installed the alcove tub afterwards...as in the tub does not go up to/rest against the studs. I was planning on using the Schluter kerdi membrane before I tile but now I'm unsure on what to do...
