What do ppl think of plastic ply, I do rate it as long as the floor you lay it over is sound and secure, ie floorboards I always cover with 9mm -12 mm ply, I prefer it to detra mat, but interested in other opinions

just a quick question, has anyone used plastic ply on floorboards? if so is it any good? and how did you use it in preperation i,e what adhesive and grout is needed? any help, would be much appreciated,

Job coming up with ufh matting. Sub is 6" t&g floor boards. Originally I was planning to nogging iy all up and relay boards. overboard with 6mm hardi, with slc and 12mm granite to top off.

I keep getting sales calls about nicobond plastic ply ,I have explained to the rep who calls me that at £8.50 sqm trade its too expensive and i am not convinced that the product has any real benefits over uncoupling matting which i pay less than £4.50 a metre for and plastic ply seems actually...
finally caved in and decided to try this out tomorrow. got 2 small bathroom floors to do with no deflection so going to give it a go. will let you know what i think after use

Had two bathrooms to tile walls and floors well the owner had supplied everything!

Just seen this product 'Nicobond plastic ply' in one of my suppliers.
It says it is self adhesive plastic sheeting to enable tiling to floorboards etc.
Anyone tried it out or even seen it yet.
Cant work how it would reduce any deflection in the flooring but maybe someone else can...
any one used this yet? looks rubbish to me but i would like to hear from some tilers who have used it and their thoughts on it as i wish to remain open minded

Think about doing a job in block of flats have to overboard bathroom floor.
To make life easier instead of humping ply sheets up several flights of stairs think about using this plastic ply. Wood floor fairly sound few screws required in some places to stop bounce.
