365 template or alternative

Hi,

Ive been using my 365 drill bit today, but the template hole i need has stretched somewhat and is very hard to control causing extreme frustration:mad2:,,,,.Do you know an alternative to get round this,or failing that do 365 have templates, couldnt see them advertised...if not,why not??
The drill bit seems ok,just the damn template knackered....ahhhhhhh,,,cheers for any help...

Give them a phone, I'm sure they'll sort you out. Alternatively... You could always drill a new pilot hole in the template.

My templates are still in good nick Vinnie, do you just use the template to start the hole?
This is how mine has lasted so long i know.
Once my bit has sunk into the tile a bit i remove the template and drill away to job done, apart from stopping for more water etc.

Thanks Hillhead,yeah I do stop once I got a decent groove in the tile,,its just trying to make the groove thats the problem,,,lol..cheers.

Drill a hole of the same size into some 3mm ply and use that as a template...

Or buy one of those adjustable thingys.

You just need something that will stick to the tile a bit and not skate around. I use the adjustable ones with the sucker, there is a recess where the diamond section is so it dosnt wear away at that point and even when it wont stick to the tiles its enough to hold it steady.

A piece of ply or plasterboard will get you around the problem. You must be using the templates for too long as I still have most of mine from years ago.

Still on my first template, think there's about 3 or 4 new ones in the back of my van somewhere.
