Im looking to lay these on my kitchen floor. Its going to be on a concrete floor.Do i have to put a primer on or just lay them as it is.Their was a break in the concrete all the way up the kitchen. It looked like two plates had pushed up together so it was raised up in the middle of the floor. So i had to dig a channel out and bring it down level with both sides of the floor.travels all the way up the middle of the gallay kitchen.from top to bottom.Hope that makes sence.Whats the best adeshive to use and grout.Should i be scared that concrete i have layed moving abit when i lay the tiles over it.From the original floor as the tile will cross over onto the new i have layed.sorry for the long read.

If you have had a movement in the floor as bad as that, that needs sorting out first before you can even consider tiling. How high was the ridge, how much have you had to dig out and what have you levelled it with ?

when i put the tile across the ridge the tile at each side was about 5-6mm of the floor at each side. The channel iv cemented down is with a good ballest mix.The floors original base is about 2" thick mybe less with not the best hardcore down but suitable. In places it looks like old vynil tiles had been down with a few still in place.I hadnt seen the floor until i took the old liminate up up and discovered the ridge.Only just moved into the property a year ago and just had the new kitchen put in.The channel has been down about a month.
