6 or 12mm Hardiebacker

Hi guys,

Got 22mm chipboard down in an upstairs bathroom and pretty solid, bit concerned at the height that 12mm Hardie + 9mm Porcelain tiles will give, would 6mm Hardie be suitable?

If the chipboard is deflection free, 6mm is fine, there must be no deflection, this is very important!!!!!!

As above, make sure there is no deflection otherwise the movement will cause cracking. The Hardi will not stop deflection!!
