600 x 300 wall tiling

Hi guys,
Wife wanted these porcelain tiles but they weigh 22.6 kg per sqM, l have removed a double layer of tiles from 3 of the walls of my bathroom, one of the walls is bare brick which i intend to apply plasterboard to level off, the other two are sand & cement based having ripped off the top coat of plaster removing tiles.
Can i apply a primer to the two s&c walls then start applying these tiles with a good adhesive. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Yes if they are flat enough to tile onto, otherwise stick up some cement based backer boards. Also consider these, or the more expensive Marmox type of board, instead of plasterboard on the other wall. The sooner plasterboard is completely banned from bathrooms the better.

plaster board will take the weight if your tiles
prime the sc walls , you might also be better using a slow set powdered adhesive will give you more working time, also tank wet areas
