9000 members!

Well done to all, we now have 9,000 members.

We have been here before in 2008 but I erased those that had not logged in for 9 months, I think it then came down to about 8,200.

So well done once again, 9,000 members within the last 12 months! Pretty good going. Give yourself a pat on the back if you're reading this - you helped too!

That's an amazing amount of tilers!! I'm no bright spark with computers but why does the member list only have 1300+ members listed?? Probably my old age with have something to do with not understanding the difference.

You don't go on the member list untill you've hit X amount of posts. It's to stop people getting spammed. Assuming those on the list are regulars and will tell us if they do.

I think the current figure is set quite high too. That's why you can only see members with lots of lovely posts.

We have around 320 - 450 members log in each day. So we'd get through 1,300 members in just a few days if we did have that many. Yet actually, it takes around 3 months before nearly all members have logged back in. And the last batch of account removals removed around 800 members. Bringing our 9,000 down to about 8,200. So we've gained these new members pretty quickly IMO.

Well done to all. I'm sure now the website is much easier to navigate around (if you're not used to the old busy style we had) then we'll get a lot more lurkers signing up.
