A day at the zoo

We went to Twycross Zoo last Saturday, it's the first time we've taken the little one and she loved it. Here's a few pics.

It was a great day, only thing that was a bit disappointing was, because it was such a hot day most of the big cats and hyenas (and others) were either lying down sunbathing or in their houses away from the sun. Lots of things to do and see, also at midday you can see the seals and penguins getting fed, highly recommended if you have kids, and only £30 for the 3 of us to go in which I thought was decent value.

Years since I've been to a zoo (Edinburgh) - all I did was touch the neck of my wife in the reptile house and she was asked to leave!

Wot no meerkats, great day for the kids though...price was good for a day out.

There were some meerkats, but for some reason I didn't take a pic of them. There were baby ones that were about the size of a mouse, very sweet!
