hi kenny @ diamond
i have looked at your site and 6 weeks is a long time and a lot of money which i will pay if i get the right course. i am not really interested in college criteria or nvq's , i want the hands on tiling. laying, cutting, setting out etc. i rang pts a few days ago and they did a course but theres a lot of theory in the first 2 weeks which didnt appeal to me because theory can be learned from a book instead of a course its the practical i want. i looked also at a ica at able skills but agian, they said the course was aimed at folllowing the ica rules which were not as varyied as there other course. apparently it is more health and saftey which i dont want.
do i really need 6 weeks to cover what i want or could i learn it in 1-2 weeks if i knuckled down

thank, ross

Hi Ross and welcome.

Having only done a small amount of personal tiling, I opted for the 4 week PTS course. After week 3 I had the confidence to start my full time tiling career as soon as I finished the fourth week.

I learnt a lot about business development and marketing as well as tiling which, believe me, is very important. I've, fortunately, been very busy since starting my tiling business and I have learnt a hell of a lot "on the job", there is no accounting for experience.

Good luck with your choice of course and your future career!
