im tiling a concrete floor with 600*300 porcelain tiles. I noticed yesterday that the addy was taking ages to set. 36 hours later i find that a few of the tiles next to the patio door are moving. I pulled one up and find that the addy is as soft as it was when i first spread it. Do you think this is just down to the weather? Its currently snowing in Harrow! Where im currently working. Cheers Sean

Alan P was having trouble last week with addy not setting, if I remember correctly pjc?? More than likely, it's down to the cold temperatures. Most adhesives need the temperature to be above 5 degrees. Even if the room you have tiled is warm, just consider how cold the concrete must be underneath and next to the patio door. It might take a while longer for the stuff to go off properly.

I had it a while back with Ultra, Paul their national sales manager kept insinuating it was my bucket or I was mixing it wrong and that really got my back up. I am sure I know how to do a mix after 20 years. It was only when they had another complaint that they found it was a bad mix, over 8 pallets were recalled. In fairness to them they did give me 16 bags buckshee but you cannot get all the lost time back.
The up side was that it was my friend's house so we went to the pub............nice.
