Adhesive advice Needed

Hello,

I am planning to tile my bathroom walls (three plasterboard one concrete) and would appreciate some advice on a suitable adhesive. I notice long pot life mentioned and feel this would be suitable but am unsure which brand etc.

My tile store supplied Profix adhesive (blue bucket) which allows a 20min window in which tiles must be applied.

Hello, They are 300 x 400 ceramic 8mm thick.

little bit large for ready mixed you need to go back and change it for a cement based product not a rapid but it may depend on your substrate

Hello, Substrate is cement wall and 3 plasterboard. Hope that helps.

a lot of people on here use powder adhesive , you do not need to use powder it is personel preference ,go to a proper tile shop and they will point you in the right direction on ready mixed adhesive wich i think you will find easier to use and will have no problems ,dont use b& q unless you want to pay over the odds

Mapei p9 or kerraflex maxi if you need to build out your tiles, 4 hours approx work time with these! Is go with no less than 10mm U notch trowel to give you good coverage.

300x400 ceramic (what the op is using) is to big for tubbed addy 300x300 is the limit..

Dont confuse pot life with open time. I'd prob use Adsilex P9 which has a pot life of most of the day.

P9 if your walls are in good condition (straight) if not and you need to build out then use kerraflex maxi!
