As above. If your bath has movement you will likely get cracked tiles and/or grout.

I generally have some vertical timber supports to support the bath and keeps it beautifully level. 2 along the long side and 1 each short side (if at a wall) near the outer corner. Chisel in a notch for the bath lip to sit in and you will be able to have a party in your bath. A lot of people will put in a baton the wall length but this tends to only prevent downward movement and not lateral :eek: but then there's ways around that too but bath clips are not reliably strong.

After doing that build a solid frame with 2x4 with vertical support along it and of course an extra horizontal if you want to be really secure... But it's not really necessary I feel.

This will then hold your wedi or whatever strongly with no flex or movement.

Then simply use a flexible addy and boom your done ;)
