Hi I do some part time work as a tiler and was looking for some advice on tiling a concrete kitchen floor with mosaic tiles, as this is the first time that i will be tiling with mosaic tiles.

If the floor isnt flat, you must use a self levelling compound first this will help , what type of mosaic, ceramic,natural stone, glass,.....what thickness, we can offer more advise if we know.....Gaz

Hi Cheers Gaz for replying they mosaic tiles are ceramic not to sure what thickness the tiles are. The floor is flat. Just really looking for a few tips on laying and cutting them as i dont want to make a mess of it as it is my first time with mosaic tiles.

use a mosaic trowel for the bed thickness so that adhesive doesnt seep through grout lines and pad them down using your grout float.

I think not, you should be charging £50 m2 including material's, The grouting take's age's. There seem's to be a lot of "concrete floor's about" there screed floor's.

If you class £20 - £25- a sqm as charging plenty Knightonthetile, what do you charge normally for everyday wall tiling ?
