Advice

[Want to learn]

I'm looking for some advice if anybody can help. I'm looking for a career change and looking to go into tiling. I was thinking of doing a 4 day course to see how I find it and if I enjoy doing it. If i do enjoy it I would like to progress into doing it as a career. I was just wondering if anybody could advise me on the best way to do this?

29, currently work fitting tv screens for advertising companies but travel the country so away from home a couple of nights a week

Make sure you learn about substrates BEFORE fixing tiles to them. They all have different requirements...

sounds like you have a pretty decent job already if you want to be a tiler do the course but try and get your self some weekend work first and try and get some experience under your belt its not as easy as every one makes out its pretty cut throat, youll be up against some very experienced fixers

Jobs ok, getting a sick of working my arse off for other peoples benefit, do some 16 hour days for the same pay as people doing an 8 hour day. Would like to do something more fulfilling. Have a couple of weeks holiday in the middle of December and have found a builder fitting a new kitchen who is going to let me help out, hopefully that will give me a better idea from there. Was just unsure on what qualifications are best to get
