Started training in Catterick in February. 6 months
Posted to Germany 7 weeks ago
Off to the big sand pit yesterday.

Busy year for an 18 year old, but he has handled it well.


He always thought Tiling was boring, so no chance of "& Son" on the van.

I'm sure he'll be sound we have some of the best blokes going. Couldn't do it myself though so he has some bottle for sure.

Shame about the & Son, but there's plenty of time yet. He'll retire with loads of time left to join the company if he wants to.

Got some friends of the family who have family out there (might have come back now not sure). Good times over Xmas apparently. Depending on what you're doing and where you are they have loads of celebrities over there. Some comedians still do tours there even when little old us can't get a damn ticket for them over here! haha

I'm sure it's not what you go there for but the experience in general must be a mint one. He'll come back with friends closer than most family members I'd have thought.

Do they give you roles before you get there or what? Do you know what he'll be doing like or is it all hush hush?

Nothing for us to do except wait until he comes home. Not sure wot he'll be up too, but as he's in the Rifles, it will be out and about at the front. Which is wot HE wanted.
