And keep the blade small. Go for no bigger than 110mm

Wear safety google, ear defenders, long sleeve shirt at all times.

Angle Grinders kick like mules on start up so keep well away from surface until needed. Hold with both hands and if the grinder has a handle - use it.

Expect a lot of dust. Dont apply too much pressure. Let the blade do its work. Stop frequently to let the material and blade cool down. Use a wet sponge at the cutting site to control dust and temperature.

Freehand - you will not get a perfect line.

Well with the good quality advice I've had I'm just about ready to go. I'm using a stone cutting 10cm disc to grind back some of the vertical tile edges to a straight line. Some are only needing a whisker taking off so a cool calm steady hand is required. Perfection is not essentail as I may slip an internal corner cove onto the edge if not absolutely perfect.. Like any thing for the first time I am not really going to achieve the same standards as any professional. I do thank all the help and time you have given into replying to my questions.
