anhydrite in a bathroom..

did I read somewhere that theses type of floors are not recommend for bathrooms..?

im on about a bathroom..(bog, basin, bath and separate shower tray and shower door) not a wetroom..

I think that they state they are not suitable in a wet environment,
I've done a few now exactly as you say with a shower tray etc & not had any problem.
I remember when I 1st started looking into these screeds I read that they must be tanked in a wet environment.

I've done a few, ditra/dural with band lapped up the walls and on the joints. Just make sure there is no way any water can get to it, especially if you're using a gypsum based adhesive to fix the mat.

When I read the title, I had the UB40 song in my head. "Anhydrite in the bathroom, what am I gonna do..."

If you're using Ditra, they recommend 2% water by weight. As opposed to 0.5% if bonding directly. As Bri says, tape the joints.
