Any ideas?

Hi, got to fix some mosaics in between a kitchen worktop and a windowsill, the gap is 2.5inches (6.5cm). Obviously my trowel won`t fit in there and neither will my grout float. I guess i could just dab adhesive on the back of each tile and fix that way and maybe use a filling knife to grout but does anyone have any other ideas? Went to CTD today to see if they had anything but no luck..

Cut an old tile to 6.5cm and then cut some notches in it with the wet saw ...sorted

And a detail grouter for the grouting, available from most tile shops. Loooks like a hand trowel but with a float rather than a blade.

Bloody good idea Sir Ramic! i`ll do that! and i`ll have to try and find the detail grouter, surprised CTD never mentioned that?

I have one.

Small plastic strip, about 5cm wide and 15 or 20cm long with a thin rubber strip on, great for getting into those narrow gaps.

If you use a tile and grout mosaic powder like Nicobond do then you can spread it on the back of the tiles with a pallet knife and just push them back to the wall. As it does both jobs any that pushes through can be tidied with a sponge.
