yeah im a joiner by trade but do a bit of tiling when fitting kitchens etc and the odd few bathrooms

Gotcha mate....when i've used the Bal tanking I don't buy there tape I go to halfords and get some fine body repair stuff which is a m2 and costs around £5 from memory and I cut into strips....seems the same material.
