I dont know whats going on around me, ive sent out lots of introductory letters and called loads of companies but still no work. oh tell a lie i had a small bathroom for a plumber. but so far this year its been work from recomendations, but even that has dried up now.

I have no idea what to do next!

It seems as tho no1 wants any tiling work done by me. ive even expanded my usuall area.

Any advice for a tiler getting back in to the swing of things???

It wasnt this hard when a was tiling about 2 years ago :mad2:

Yeah pretty busy get a lot from FRIDAY ADD also get one a week from MFI bathroom contractor

I said NO at the start of the poll but starting this week I've become busy again to the point of annoying customers with waiting times.

Anyone else seen a pick up in enquiries recently?
It seems the retail side has also picked up after a slowish start this year.

Yeah i have been quoting more but also doing site contracts too. It was a bad January but it makes you get off your *** and find other contacts.

I think there's plenty of work, obviously the more tilers there are the less there is to go round I suppose.

ive done plenty of things and i advertised in plenty of places but still nothing. got a feeling when i start a job the phone wont stop ringing

Was lucky in Jan as got subed into big shopping centre, which lasted 6 weeks. Domestic work only starting up again, thought phone was broke for a while !! Just been offered work in 5star hotel in London, about one weeks work in the lobby

Yes I've got enough work till mid May as of present ( may be cos i'm bath room fitting, clients seem to want you to do everything today, so there you go.

Getting really busy now, pain getting customers to wait a week or two before it can be done, all want it doing ASAP.

Was very quiet in Jan and Feb so placed an ad in local magazine which came out this week...BUT last week went manic on pricing jobs that all got booked so I am busy until end April, which is great...long may it continue!
