I missed the actual program but just caught up online.. BBC - Watchdog: You can do it when you B&Q it, but can they?

I have a house in my book which i'v so far only tiled the kitchen floor,going back ther next week i hope.
Anyway it has a B&Q kitchen fitted(well nearly fitted).lol.
Very shoddy quality IMO, close inspection showed up too many errors for my liking.

I too can't help but feel sorry for them a little.

How many times has a customer been a complete nightmare, rude, paid late. Very late or even refused to pay for no reason other than they think they can get away with it and no doubt bad mouthed you as a trades man when they have changed there mind 20+ times etc.

Were British and we love to moan. And trades in the front line some times. Weather were good at waht we do or not.

The only B&Q job I ever knowingly came across was in an elderly couple's bathroom. I can honestly say it was attrocious and not even up to average diy standard. The tiles lipping, out of line frequently, uneven grout spacing, really badly set out and more silicon than Jordan's breasts. The basin had been really roughly cut into the worktop and pumped with silicon. The furniture clearly wasn't level. The couple obviously didn't know better and were delighted with it and I wasn't going to tell them otherwise.

Maybe that was a rare one but I doubt it.

I've also met a good fitter who works for several top companies and does B&Q jobs as well, don't think his standard will drop just for B&Q stuff.
Their tag line grates on me now, It's where the trade buys' since a customer started quoting it to me lol
