In a what can only be described as a spectacular feat of stupidness, I crashed down a staircase on Friday morning only to knock myself out and leave the lads thinking it was time to start looking for work elsewhere upon my expected demise. My life did not flash in front of me in a flurry of hi-viz yellow, but me thinking...I want my mum and I havent done the wages. So now I am confined to barracks for a while so to speak, till Im all mended, but the shock was that in a split second your life can change. So all of you take heed, more haste less speed, and watch your footing, doesnt matter if your out working or at home.

Stay safe and take no risks.

Get well soon Lynn, not nice that at all.I fell in my shower 2 years ago as I was getting ready for a wedding!I near broke a toe, injured my shoulder a bit plus split my head above eye.Some sight I was, lol.We can't be too careful.Your lucky didn't do yourself more harm.

People need to take extra care this time of year both on foot and driving as cold conditions bring with them a whole range of slips, trips, falls and crashes.

Lynn I did something similar but I fell off a ladder out of the loft hatch. One dislocated shoulder later and I couldn't face ladders for a while. get well soon
