Good day on Friday, got on well with a bathroom im doing.
Saturday me and my Da where sealing his tarmac drive then after lunch we started sheeting a new cowshed roof with tin. All going good, nailing away when he winces and asks me to ring for an ambulance.:yikes:
His hip(he had it replaced 4 years ago) popped out. Ambulance came and i asked for the firebrigade as well as i couldnt see a way of getting him down. The local part timers came and asked for backup from the specialist rescue unit. So I had a paramedic (scared of heights:mad2
who wouldnt go up the ladder and was worried about giving him pain relief in case he fell! & 3 fire engines & crews in my yard. After 2 hours getting a rescue stretcher and rigging up pulleys etc we got him down. Very uncomfortable for him but we where all glad to get him away in the ambulance.
Hes doing fine now:hurray:, hip back in but will be out of action for a month or two!
