I hear through the grape vine that BAL are laying off staff.
Mapei last year caught up on their UK coverage and nearly took over them with projections this year to wipe the floor with them. It looks like they're right as I hear BAL (and this is on other forums too) are laying off staff members due to the current climate.
This proves that the market is pretty unstable right now and those who are making profit are strong firms, whether it's a tile shop, adhesive firm, or the tiler themselves.
So keep your budgets strict and tight. And make sure you're doing EVERYTHING you can to maximise profit and minimise loss.
