bal single part fastflex adhesive suitability?

Hi guys, need an adviced, have searched a whole net, but could not find a required info.so thought that you fellas may help.I am aware that you can't use wall adhesive for floors,but can you use floor adhesive for plasterboarded walls? My mate done a massive house and got few bags left over of bal single part fastflex adhesive, so i could potentially get it for pint or two.:drool5:

Hi Kenis, yeah Bal SPF is a cracking adhesive that can be used on walls & floors.
It's a slow set adhesive with a pot life of about 5hours & takes 24hrs to cure.
Unless it's a rapid set & will last 30mins in the bucket & go off in about 3hrs.

It's rapid set he states it's fast flex just be carefull don't mix it up stiff and watch it doest skin over too quick fix a couple and pull one off to make sure it's sticking to a tile as I've seen pros use it and the tiles have fallen off

You can use single part fastflex on walls but why would you ? it's a more specialized adhesive.

Bal single part fast flex cost a small fortune and will stick wings to an aeroplane. .....you can use it on walls. ...but its a nightmare especially if your using a light coloured grout as its almost black in colour and getting rid of the adhesive bleeding through the joints will drive you mad and make you wish you opted for a less specific adhesive. .

I wouldn't used it on walls I've seen people struggle with it on a floor !!!

I wouldn't use it anywhere unless I had to, I've used it in the past and it isn't nice lol but the OP asked can it be used on walls, just saying yes

As said, this costs a small fortune & wouldn't waste it on doing wall tiling.

Far to expensive to use on walls........would rip the walls to shreds in the future if they ever wanted to change.

Thanks chaps for replies.it looks like that adhesive is not advisable to use on light grey grout.though I would get away not buying those 5 bags of adhesive but seems I need to place an order.what would you recommend to use for porcelain 300x600 tiles on pb wall.

I think he can get it cheap cheap as it's left over from a job. I still wouldn't use it though, not when a bag of P9 white is only a tenner

Regardless of price it isn't the easiest / cleanest way to fix a tile, more aggro than it's worth imho

Hi,the forum is great,reasonably easy to use, very handful. The are couple things I would try to improve/add, it would be very handy have some sort of forum member rankings, so when you get a reply you could look which member is more trustful. The other thing I would improve is to reduce time moderator takes to post the thread / reply.
Apart suggestions is all perfect.love the forum.
