I seem to get all the odd ball jobs to quote for and here's another I would advise on if any one can help .
I have been asked to tile a balcony /roof garden of just under 9m2 .When I went to see the job in question it has already been tiled quite a few years ago and the customer doesn't want these lifting but tiling over .
The problem I have regarding doing the job is that these tiles (30 x30) and are covered with raised ridges (none slip I think) a bit like the ones used on public footpaths today for the blind.
These ridges stand quite proud from the rest of the tile surface and will take a lot of adhesive just to make a level surface and then to use a 10 or 12mm notched trowel.
If any one has come up against something on the same lines I would be gratefull for any advise on how to over come this problem
