Bathhroom floor - Straight onto floorboards or board it out?

Got to price a job (first for 20 years!!) and wondering about whether to board first. The floor is in pretty good nick, solid and level (no big gaps), but I'm inclined to board it out first as I think it'll give a better finish. If so marine ply for a bathroom? Primed edges? Bal addy or mapei keraflex maxi?

It the floor is deflection free then I would board it with a backer board like no more ply or Hardi

I would use Mapei Keraquick

defo overboard with wbp ply or cement boards, mapei keraflex for me

Tiling has moved forward so so much the last 10 years or so..
