What is the view of experienced tilers as to whether to put tiles under toilet base and sik base or tile around these. The toilet and basin are already fixed and I am nervous as to whether I will be able to fit back the pipes into the wall if I remove them and tile under them. Thanks

The ONLY way is to remove/tile/refit.....like people have said its a much better job...if your not confident with the plumbing get someone in to do it? they shouldnt charge that much....if they do then your being robbed

i dont touch them as im not insured for plumbing, and anyone who dose should check there public liability ins.
i have a plumber mate who can do it for me at a cost, the client can do it, or i can cut round it those are the choices they get.

allso some toilets ive seen are fix to the floor with cement, you have no choice but to cut round them or buy a new toilet.

Always remove, tile and refit. Customers are always happy to pay a little extra for the best result. After the first time you do it you'll see there is nothing to it. Just take your time.
