Bathroom floor

A tiler done our bathroom floor about 6 months ago & all the grout is coming away. He tiled onto ply sheet which in turn is on floorboards. Is there a decent grout I can use to replace the stuff he used that wont crack? Thanks

Over boarding with thin ply is a no no I'm afraid. This is more than likely the cause of your issues. Deflection (bounce) in the floor will cause even the most flexible of grouts to fail.

I would guess that the floor is failing, the grout cracking out is the first stage, next will be broken/loose tiles.

do you know exactly how the floor was prepared prior to tiling, ( how close together were the screws was it glued as well as screwed, how thick was the ply)

Agree with Geoff, if the grout is cracking thefloor is moving, do you kno what thickness of ply was installed? Do you have underfloor heating?

was the tiler a tiler? If so, get him back.
Quite often folk don't want to listen or to pay for the correct procedure. So if its failed and he's been paid, then its his responsibility.
