bathroom plasterboard.

hello all.just wanted some advice.i`ve ripped all the tiles off in my mums bathroom and 1 wall(the exterior wall) is now bare brick as all the plaster came off.the other 3 walls were plasterboard which all came off with the tiles.my plan is aquapanel screwed to the studs around the shower area and plasterboard dot and dabbed onto the brick wall and to do the window recess.how do i prep the bare brick and can i use normal 12mm plasterboard?also are aquapanel fixings needed or can i just use normal drywall screws recessed.does aquapanel need to be tanked.thanks in advance. dave.

Was the old plaster a lime mortor that came off

You could use a vapour shield board, this has the foil backing to it to prevent condensation from either direction. You could also add some insulation at this stage if you wanted. Im starting one tomorrow thats been studded out and insulated as its solid 9" walls

i dont know if it was lime mortar.it wasn`t plaster,it was a grey colour and very soft.it fell off very easily
