I am doing a quote for my first bathroom floor, and am trying to think of the best option when it comes to tiliing under or around the toliet. Do most people try to lift the toliet out, which will give a better finish, however then when you replace it all the pipes and fitting will need to be changed as everything is higher, so do you save any time doing this, or do most people cut the tiles to fit?

We usually try to remove and re-fit, this makes for a neater job...,flexi hoses can be added to pipework to give some leeway to re-fit.If impossible to remove.. then tile around using templates.....Gaz

Totally agree..much neater to remove if possible and tile under...

yes same as remove if pos i always use off set pan connecters then you just have to extend cold feed if your lucky there is some times enough play under floor to lift it

Thanks all, seems that removing is the best option. Do you normally quote and charge for removal, connextions etc.?

Any extra's that you do or buy then charge for time and fittings..etc.....
