Would like to know if anybody can recommend a good app on the iPad for job pricing , Estimates ect.
I love my iPad but feel I am not using it to its full power. Any input would be grateful .
Regards

I used to use Pages for pricing jobs but moved to invoice2go. Would never use anything else now. A trial run is free but the full app is worth it though. I also have the in app purchase "sign2go".

So i'm looking at getting a tablet pc or possibly ipad. Does anybody use a customer relationship management type app/software? Mr Grr is thinking of starting his own business and would use the tablet/ipad for work stuff.
Also, daft question due to blonde moment, if you download an app and start saving data to that app whatever it might be, the data only saves to the device's memory right?

What do you mean by customer relationship management software & what type of business is it? Depending on the app you purchase, if you have the same software on iPad, iPhone, android, PC or Mac, they can all be sync'd together. I do that with invoice2go. I have that on 2 iPhones, 2 iPads a PC & a mac. They are all linked to sync together. I have set it so that I can update them all with one device. If someone else chances the data for whatever reason, I get flagged straight away to see if I want to accept or deny the change.

he's looking at becoming a childminder. So he'd need to keep details of medication needs, special needs, dietary requirements, emergency contacts, key info like date of birth for every child he looks after. he will have to keep well maintained records to prove to Ofsted he is capable of looking after his business as well as the children as it's all very regulated now. Ofsted can come to inspect whenever they want basically. I guess I'll have a look around the app stores and see what's available. We don't have much room for storing paper based files you see, so whatever can get stored electronically would be a god-send.
