Best Van for your tiling business?

Hi Guys, just wondering what van you use for your tiling business or if you have had any problems with vans you have used for tiling (i.e not enough space or not enough graphic space on van)...or what your ideal van for tiling would be?

i have one of these

mines an earlier model tho.. no power steering ! but other than that its a sound motor, never had any problems and theres more than enough space in it for all my tiling and plastering tools, also have 2 roof bars incase i want to load bigger sheets of ply on the roof

I use a Transit LWB Hi Top.....Loads of room for tools and easy loading...one retailer I use just forklifts the pallets straight on. Loads of space for signwriting which I am having done soon.

VW T4 Transporter, not too big, not too small. You can get an 8 foot by 4 foot sheet of ply in the back, even on a swb. Smaller than a transit, good for getting up domestic driveways. Pretty reliable, although can be fairly expensive 2nd hand compared to other vans of the same age. We use a transit also but I much prefer the VW. Transits also not that reliable. I have a friend who services a fleet of 50 plus transits and as he puts it, anything that spins round on a transit soon wears out or breaks!!

I got an old "R" Berlingo and it's been great so far. I just started another thread this afternoon coz I am looking for another, larger van now, with 4 seats.

Pretty set on a VW transporter kombi, but will need to shop round for best deals.

A mate of mine has a transit crewcab truck has about 50,000 on the clock just had his flywheel and clutch changed £600.

I use a lwb Transporter, plenty room 4 tools and you can still get ply and gyproc in, doesnt take 3m pipe though if you fitting as well as tiling.I reckon I get about 40/45 to gallon.Good driving van, bit tight in front if you tall
