Its a few mill out in places, a 12 mill ply floor, say 1 mill to 5mill, i thought, 10 mill trowel, hold at 90 deg, and then go to 45 d to correct the level?

mainly at 1 corner i notice its slightly lower, I have took 1 or 2 up, and added a bit under, but its a messy job that way, and they stick good!!

1, for future ref, can you level a ply floor with level compound? and whats the best method if its slightly out?

I have got it level in most parts, just 2 or 3 1 ot 2 mill higher

330 x 330 tiles 9 mill thick

Go to a thicker bed, use a 15 or 20mm trowel if the levels are way out, if they're only slight then there shouldn't be a problem building the addy up slightly if needed, backbutter the tile /s in question, don't dot and dab them.

Good tip about trowels, trouble with diy, b nq only had 10 mill or less in the tiling section

For the one or two tiles your on about a 10mm might do the job, as I said, backbutter the tiles where you need to build up a toch.

Hope that helps.
