Big clinker

Does anybody use one of these ?

Asking because yesterday was tiling a front step, got told the tiles were 30x30 so loaded my ts 40. Got to Topps to collect the tiles and they were 60 x 30. Borrowed me a Clinker to use, save driving home. Bit worried as the tiles were a thick porcelain, didn't think they would cut with it. Quite shocked, cut with ease and a very clean cut at that. Only problem i did find was that it was a slight pain to line the pencil mark up, hard (ish) to see. Apart from that though it did seem a good robust, decent cutter, cut porcelain as good as my tx700. Thinking of investing in one, don't really NEED one but for the money!
Do they keep well or is it a case of it falling apart after a few months?

B and Q were selling them, don't know if they still are, and screw fix seems to ring a bell.

IMO.. stick with the TX700.. and save your pennies.. penno..:lol:

If you have big clinkers then it would also be advisable to get a washboy..:lol:

May just grab one as a back up cutter, suppose for £85 you can't really go wrong.

B&Q had it for £40 with a trade card not so long ago, but your tx is bullet proof so save your money...

I got one last year as a stop gap until I got my tx700, like you say it's not a bad cutter for the money but, it's now 10 months old, only been used on half a dozen jobs and is really wobbly and doesn't cut straight anymore. Save your cash I you have a tx you don need one!

breaker was struggling on my ts60 so bought a clinker.still going strong 6 months later,pretty much breaks anything.ok for what it is i suppose.wouldnt pay £85 for one though,think i paid about £55 from topps with discount. Awkward in van as well,could do with a carry case
