Big tiles anyone?

2.3m x1.3m x 20mm polished marble slabs!
Some fun laying these.
Back breaking work and some weight.
I started this yesterday for a while then back today from 11am.
2 borders to go into this floor too, that's 2 big floors with double borders I have on at the minute.
I'm seeing a different side if tiling these days. Lol.

The finish will be top class, the client is a multi millionaire and the house is absolute top class.
On that floor I have a 1m centre piece to cut out and a red marble border and marfil to skirting then.
I'm under pressure galore at the minute and was even working to 9pm last night on another job.
I have 3 helpers while laying these slabs, they also are going to be resin filled and grinded, polished etc. Butt jointing going on too!!

jeepers joe , what kind of wetsaw are you using on them, they look as if they would break easily.

Sigma 10m sitting in van, lol.
5" grinder/polisher and 4.5" grinder with a superb blade.
I lined the floor and ordered the slabs in correct size so little cutting apart from borders.
Id love a week at that but I have jobs to finish elswhere too.

12mm round notch, floors are very flat lucky enough.
That floor should be finished by Tuesday hopefully, I'm trying to get another tiler in for Monday. I have another class floor on and need it finished too.
I'll be back in that slab floor house week after next too.
I also have to slab the shower walks in bathroom and ensuite plus I have 2 marble shower trays already fitted.

Hi Dave that's a raimondi suction cup and I'm tellin ya you'd never believe what they can lift.
I have two of them and they can pull them slabs into place!
They can lift them slightly to wedge etc too.

In the first pic at bottom of it there is a metal item with two handles...
We use these to grip onto the slabs in the lorry and get them out.
The four of us(two at front and two at back) can use these handles to lift and carry the slabs into the house, they are damn heavy but nice to work with.
I made one mistake with the measuring out and had to then cut 4" off at near 24' long.lol.
I think i have help for monday now so we can do plenty then.
I need to get back to my JOTM job by tuesday or wednesday,lol.
This company i'm doing this work for are top class, only 7 miles from me too.

I took today off thankfully, well I really needed more handson this job.
But while in lifting a cheque a got 40 linear metres of 100 x 20mm rojo marble borders for around the perimeter, I'll start them at 8am Monday.
Beautiful red coloured but easily broke.
The sigma 10m will be busy this week, only 8 slabs left to go down.
