Hi
A few months back I installed some crackle glaze tiles with a red biscuit. Prior to fixing, each tile was sealed with Aquamix Ultra-Solv.
I have found that the surface of the tiles is covered with a red dust the same colour as the biscuit and I can only assume that it is the biscuit coming out of the cracks in the tiles. I hadn't considered that this might happen and can't see it mentioned anywhere in the forums or in general tile maintenance websites.
Has anybody else had this problem and what is the cause and solution please?
My current view is that I should clean the tiles and re-apply the sealer as it is recommended that crackle tiles be re-sealed after a while to counter the additional cracking that happens with the changes in temperature.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks.
