Bit of dodgey tiling!!!!

Spotted this tiling in a coffee shop toilets today, check out the way he's got caught out with the wall running off! He he shocker!! School boy error

Seems in PIC 2 as though he started the wall either with a slither at the bottom anyway or a full tile at the top working down ;\ or is the wall out that much that there's half a tile at the bottom?

I'm always reluctant to question any bellow par tiling unless it's horrendous as you don't know the surrounding factors, maybe it was DIY job or whatever but in the interest of learning from someone else's mistakes then it's ok to dissect what went wrong here. Really poor setting out, poor grout colour choice, wrong trim size, poor grouting, overall execution bellow par on this section. In saying that... Your on a hiding to nothing using mapei grouts these days!

Lol, may I just add that it was a single toilet unit, and I was the only one their!

Seen at lot worse and black grout will be for practical purposes.
Not everyone wants bespoke work.

the setting out was poor on every wall ! The grout was dark grey which wasn't that bad , considering!

public toilets and pubs loos tend to be thrown together, bet he didnt give a monkeys with the price he was on .
And dark grout shows up loads of crap, especially on crappy cheap metros .

Funny how you always check out the work when taking a ****, I always do, have seen some lovely work but some dire stuff too. Never offer to re-grout the floor on a public loo, Top tip of the day!
