Bitcoins and Bitcoun Mining - Anybody into it?

Anybody into bitcoins and bitcoin mining?
Or any of the other cryptocurrencies?

Thinking of getting into mining but it seems a bit short term.

Looked at them once but could not figure ou how you make them into real money. they fluctuate wildly in value so only those who can afford to lose money should deal in them

Seen a lad on a local forum had a garage full of computer hardware and was claiming to earn a grand a week off it. Turns out someone else had a setup four times as powerful and said it only mined them less than half that on a good week. Not a great return if you've got £30k of kit and need your electric meter rigged.
