I
IvegotsTILE
I got asked to do a favour for a mate and plumber who puts work my way,his auntie is moving into her new flat on the 3rd of Jan and they wanted the bathroom tiling(to the ceiling around the bath and half way round the rest) I said I'd do it the 29th and 30th which she was really happy with, they dropped a key off yesterday.
I turned up at 9 and took about 3 hours to scrape off the old adhesive then I tiled over the bath on the biggest wall and it was coming on well, the customers turned up and husband said it looked really good then the wife said looks good but the tiles are the WRONG WAY ROUND:yikes:.
She said she wanted them landscape instead of portrait which she never once said to me,the tiles are about 25 by 17 and look rubbish landscaped. I told her she should of told me thats the way she wanted it but remained professional and said if thats the way she wanted it I'd take off all the tiles and start again, then as soon as she left the house I let out my frustration :incazzato::mad2::incazzato::mad2: :incazzato::mad2: by the time I cleared the room and finished at 430 I looked on a totally wasted day still :mad2::incazzato::mad2: but have calmed down now.
Why do customers always try my patience,I wouldn't mind but I wanted this whole week off but decided to help a mate out,now I'm gonna have to work new years eve, customers who'd have em?
Who else has had something like this happen to them? I've had a couple of times where I've forgotten to put a border in but I've realised after a couple of tiles and its easily rectified.
