Was it another vehicle winching it out, or do you have one of those land anchors?? (or maybe wrap the cable round a stout tree?)

A guy I know bought a land rover (looks like a range rover) for £300 and got through a mot and big carlos fandango tyres and does that in Dunstable somewhere
