Boarding for new stud wall

New stud wall being erected in non wet area, only 2.0 mtr X 2.4mtr (w-h) with a doorway. I'm wanting to tile both sides. I know my cheapest option is plasterboard and then prime ( if I go this way which primer should I use ) or can you reccomend any other alternatives.

Plaster board is fine, I use Mapei products, you can get these from Tile Giant stores. Do you know what tiles you will be using?

Like Dylante says check out the Mapei Primer G at Tile Giant, then I would go for Keraflex or Kerflex Maxi for fixing The adhesive colour (grey or white) will depend on what grout you're using

Ok. You could use a tubber adhesive with those if you wanted, in which case dont prime the plasterboard, just make sure it is free of and dust or grease. However if it was me Id prime and use a cement based adhesive (Im not a great lover of tubber adhesives).

Save yourself a few quid then and get Mapei P9 instead of Keraflex Maxi

Will this Mapei P9 be ok for the rest of the room which is painted ( emulsion ) plastered walls?

Yes it will , however, I would run a sander over them Steve mate and try and get the paint off first - just a light sand will do if it's only emulsion, then prime with the Primer G and fix with the P9

P9 is a lovely sticky to use and won't go off in your bucket
